OUR COVID-19 PROMISE

January 18, 2021 by Heather

We want to reassure you that your safety and that of our cleaning staff, are very important to us and we take the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously. We will continue our usual high standards of cleaning between guests and we will be taking particular attention to cleaning high contact areas in addition to the other steps outlined below. However, we also rely on you and all our guests to take precautions in order to keep safe too.

If we cannot host your confirmed stay due to coronavirus lockdown measures put in place by the government in the location of the cottage, we will offer to move your stay to other dates or offer a full refund (only moving dates offered by Pound Cottage).

If you cannot travel to us for your confirmed stay due to coronavirus lockdown measures in your area put in place by the government, we will offer to move your stay to other dates or offer a full refund (only moving dates offered by Pound Cottage).

Please see our booking terms and conditions for non covid-19 cancellations.

What we are doing to keep you as safe as possible when visiting one of our cottages

Weekly rotation cycle for all bedding so that you are not in contact with any bedding used by a previous guest.

Enhanced cleaning practices to include sanitization of high touch areas such as door handles, light switches, appliances, remote controls, plug sockets, crockery, cutlery, glassware, mats and coasters etc.

Arrival and departure times will be changing to accommodate the enhanced cleaning. Arrivals will now be from 5 pm and we kindly ask that you vacate the property by 10 am.

Removal of some “non essential” items such as leaflets, magazines and board games. We’ve decided to keep in place some “non essential” items such as hair dryers, iron and books and you can choose to use these at your own discretion.

What you can do to keep yourself as safe as possible when visiting

Please DO NOT travel to Dorset if you feel unwell or have a raised temperature – this is critical to keep everyone safe.

Please wash your hands with the sanitizer provided immediately upon arrival and each time you return to the cottage.

Please do not invite other visitors inside the cottage.

Please keep the cottage well ventilated throughout your stay.

In order to keep our cleaning process even safer for us we would kindly ask that at the end of your stay you strip the beds of all protectors and bed linen and put items in black sacks that we will provide.

When out and about please observe the social distancing rules strictly as many of our rural communities are in the more vulnerable category and will be wary of increased visitor numbers to their home area.

If you feel unwell during your stay, please travel home immediately and notify us of your symptoms so that we can close the property for 72 hours.
